Aspel is an injection moulding company of small and medium sized technical parts. The products are mainly for the automotive sector, electrical and electronic market, domestic appliances and general industrial applications.
The Aspel division has five production units: three inBelgium(Eupen, Dolhain andBocholt), one inMexico(Queretaro) and one inSlovakia(Kezmarok) and a partnership inChina(Suzhou).
Aspel is well known for the high quality level (all plants are ISO/TS 16 949 certified) and its technical know-how (product, technology, mould development and testing and high precision plastic parts). Aspel wants to create added value through co-engineering.
To secure the long term Aspel business worldwide, the company has decided to hire an additional ‘Account Business Manager’. The ‘Account Business Manager’ to be, will be the driver of commercial success.
Function
The Account Business Manager (ABM) will maintain the current customers of the Dolhain plant. Next to that he/she will develop new markets and new customers.
The position will be located in Eupen.
The main functional responsibilities are:
- Executes the account management for the existing 15 customers of the Dolhain plant: visits to the customer, writes visit reports, proposal preparation according to company directives, proposal follow-up, follow-up of sold projects, forecast of new needs of the customer, follow-up of invoices.
- Identifies, qualifies and prospects potential customers in order to enable the sales of Aspel products, using the tools available and respecting the defined goals.
- Promotes Aspel awareness to designated and new markets and customers (working with injection molding technologies) in order to maximize potential revenues and sales.
- Identifies, contacts and influences decision-makers.
- Defines the account plan for the customer and seeks approval for the technical and financial aspects with the technical engineers and the commercial director.
- Participates in and organizes adequate marketing events, such as exhibitions, sales events.
- Builds relationships with external and internal partners, which are pertinent to the interests and needs of Aspel.
- Keeps ahead of market needs and trends; develops own expertise (knowledge of accounts, business needs, major players in this market).
- Understands the local market (opportunities, needs, competition, prices, players, financial situation, political situation, …)
- Carries out various administrative tasks in order to follow-up, control, organizes his sales activities.
- Visits international clients: 20% to 30% of the time.
Profile
- Has ideally a Bachelor or Master Degree in a technical domain or has a compensating working experience.
- Has experience and is able to build constructive partnerships with customers.
- Has minimum 5 successful years sales experience within an environment working with e.g. polymers, injection moulding, processing techniques, plastic engineering.
- Is willing to work and travel internationally from time to time (20% to 30%).
- Has a good knowledge of French, Dutch & English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
- Understanding of injection moulding and engineering plastics or having developed a broad view of several manufacturing practices and organizations would be a plus.
- Commercial approach; good listener, persuasive and structured in his reasoning.
- Good communicator: strong in interpersonal contacts, spontaneous and open towards colleagues and able to build relationships on a management level within large enterprises.
- Good presentation skills
- Entrepreneur: must be able to detect opportunities within the target companies.
- Likes to work in a dynamic and hands-on environment.
- Eager to continuously improve his/her skills and competences.
- Team-player: spontaneous towards colleagues, feeling comfortable in a smaller working environment.
