Function

Taking responsibility for the quick dispatch of business, in particular the ICT infrastructure and related software packages within the organization, in Belgium and abroad.
Offering users the necessary support to secure and optimize the continuity of the systems within the organization.
An efficient integration of ICT services within the organization and team.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Determine and implement the strategy.
• Coordinating and managing all activities of the ICT support team Belgium (hardware and software systems, network and telecommunications, information security, help desk) according to the organization’s priorities and needs and providing an efficient and effective service to end users.
• Providing information and advice about ICT trends, technical problems, need for upgrades and investments of the technical equipment (hardware & software) in order to achieve an ICT environment where the entire organization’s hardware and software is up-to-date.
• Coordinating infrastructure projects and issue reports internationally and striving for a global uniformity and standardization.
• Developing an IT governance plan and coordinating a smooth implementation to ensure that the various ICT processes and typologies are clearly documented and consulted.
• Coaching and developing team members to optimize and develop their competences, skills and knowhow.
• Supporting the team on a technical level and sharing expertise within the field to help them in solving problems.
• Remaining up-to-date in the field of ICT evolutions and developments in order to provide state-of-the-art services and infrastructure from the department.

Profile

• Master’s degree, preferably in ICT, or equivalent by experience.
• Minimum 10 years working experience in an ICT-department within an industrial company with international offices.
• Experienced leadership skills
• A sound knowledge of ICT infrastructure (for Unix (AIX), Windows, network, security,…).
• Experience with ERP implementations.
• Strong people management skills.
• Communicative.
• Responsible and initiative.
• Stress-resistant and flexible.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
