Function

As Project Manager, you will manage overseas construction projects with an average value of 25 to 100 million EUR. You are responsible for monitoring and implementing the project from assignment to completion with an eye for planning, budget and quality, technical problems on site and leading your team. Project organization and management is not new to you, neither is site planning. You also maintain contacts with clients and local authorities, and follow up on contract developments. The control and coordination of subcontractors are also an essential part of your job responsibilities. You are responsible for implementing and overseeing the ISO & VCA standards. You will report regularly to the Operational Manager.

Profile

• You are an industrial or civil engineer or a civil engineer/architect;
• You have worked for at least ten years in the construction industry and have minimum five years experience in a similar position;
• You are a strategist and a born leader with a nose for business;
• Good negotiation and convincing skills;
• Working in a multicultural environment, or residing abroad with your family for a long period does not scare you off;
• You are fluent in Dutch and French or English;
• You take own initiatives and follow alternative solutions to problems.
• You are flexible and able to adapt to constantly changing business priorities;
• You show commitment, enthusiasm and energy to meet all the project goals;
• You understand your own role and manage, motivate and coach your team;
• You take responsibility and implement HSEQ procedures and ensure that all problems are reported to the Project Manager;
• You influence your team, you build consensus and you communicate to a multidisciplinary group of people in a structured way;
• You have effective point of views and show confidence and courage in order to convince others.
