Bert has a bachelor's degree in life sciences and a Vlerick degree in marketing. His professional career started in the early nineties in Belgium's largest fruit cooperative. Various sales and management positions followed, always in an international context. Bert draws his expertise from various sectors, but Food and Retail remain his greatest passion. During two years as senior advisor internationalization at Voka, he also got the taste to focus on growth companies in their organization and development.

After several years as commercial director at a leading frozen food company, part of an Austrian listed group, Bert decided to make a complete turnaround to recruitment consultant and joined CrossInt in early 2022. His knowledge of the international business world, people manager and.... "bridge builder" give him a solid backpack of experience.

Bert has a dynamic and open minded character, is result driven and strongly believes in the personal search, the growth curve that leads to lasting job satisfaction. This makes him a good listener and opportunistic thinker in the search for the best candidate on the market. You will find him most often on the road to clients or in our office in Ghent.

Bert's hobbies include trips of more than 300 km (?!) of cycling, or following cycling from the couch, or driving his convertible with his wife.  His motto: "Dance before the music is over - live before the life is over!"
